With more than 15 years of experience across technology, business development and sales consulting, Thomas Veira has built his career around helping organizations navigate complex business challenges and identify technology solutions that deliver meaningful results.
As Director of Business Development at Plextec, Thomas is particularly passionate about the company’s laser focus on the Canadian insurance industry. He works closely with insurance brokers and organizations to understand their unique business and technology needs, helping them explore solutions across IT, cloud hosting, cybersecurity and AI readiness.
For Thomas, technology is never simply about the technology itself. It is about understanding the business challenge first and ensuring the solution genuinely supports the organization’s goals. He finds particular satisfaction in solving complex problems, building long-term relationships and ensuring Plextec is the right fit for the organizations he works with.
Outside of Plextec, Thomas is happily married and the proud father of three children: two boys and a girl. When he is not talking technology, you will likely find him cultivating his bonsai trees, working on his golf game, or behind the BBQ experimenting with smoked meats. For Thomas, patience, attention to detail and a willingness to keep refining the process are just as valuable at home as they are in business.
